Irish rockers U2 have announced a worldwide stadium tour, which will include a show in the Valley this fall.
The group, which just released its latest album, “No Line on the Horizon,” will start its “U2 360″ tour in Europe in June, before coming to North America in September.
Four North American shows have been announced: Chicago, New York, Boston and Toronto. The band’s website says additional shows soon will added for Phoenix, Los Angeles, Dallas, Atlanta and several other cities.
Several U2 fan sites (such as this one) are reporting the Valley concert will be Oct. 20 at University of Phoenix Stadium, and tickets will go on sale April 20.
A Live Nation official says tickets will range from $30 to $250.

That’s 30 dollars before the 15 dollars in convenience charges, “because we own everything” fees and “just because it’s fun to rip you off” fees. Maybe the U2 3D concert film will return to IMAX, I’d rather see that again.
