Festival in Desert to offer music, arts, food

The three restaurants at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort - Ristorante Tuscany, Meritage Steakhouse and Blue Sage - will offer special multi-course menus (see menus pdf) this weekend in conjunction with the Festival in the Desert in north Phoenix.
The three-day event, which starts Friday, features more than 20 music acts, including Pat Benatar (pictured), Boz Scaggs, Patti LaBelle, Smokey Robinson and The Temptations. Local artists will display their artwork for viewing or purchase.
The festival takes place on the resort’s golf course. General admission tickets are $55 Friday, $85 Saturday and Sunday, or $195 for all three days. VIP tickets are $150 Friday and $250 Saturday and Sunday.
