Pacific Bay Company, the first high-end seafood restaurant to open in northeast Mesa, has closed. Chris and Andrea Blazier opened Pacific Bay in July 2006 in the Villages at Las Sendas shopping center on the northeast corner of McDowell and Power roads.

A message on the restaurant’s answering machine explains, “We’ve had a really fun couple of years serving Mesa, but Mesa just didn’t embrace and support us like we anticipated they would.”

Do you think the mediocre food and service may have had a tad to do with the lack of support?

  • Kathy Schellhas says:

We are sorry to see it closed. We will miss the martini’s, crab and tempura asparagus. Some of the potato and accompaniments were a little too extravagent for us

Chris, Kathy and I, as you know, visited Pacific Bay often and whenever we came to Phoenix. Loved your food and your service. Open another one soon, but ignore Mesa. Try Ahwatukee!!
