Hard to believe it’s been a full decade since Joe Johnston and partners Tad and Tim Peelen opened Joe’s Real BBQ in downtown Gilbert. The acclaimed restaurant, which marked its 10th anniversary Sunday, will celebrate with a series of specials and customer prizes this year, Johnston says. In addition, Joe’s Real BBQ’s annual Customer Appreciation Day, where all diners eat for free, will be held May 7.
